Citizens of The Kingdom

How do I know if I’m a citizen of God’s kingdom? What are my responsibilities as a citizen of God’s kingdom? Are there any rights or privileges to being a citizen of God’s kingdom? The best place to answer these questions is by looking at one of my favorite portions the New Testament: Ephesians 2, where Paul defines in detail the nature of the church and what it means to be a citizen of the kingdom. Here's what he says in just few short verses: Ephesians 2:18-22 NIV 18 For through him (Jesus), we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. 19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
