Meet Our Lead Pastor

Pastor Bryan & Haley Jarrett
I grew up in a small farming community in the heart of the rural south. My father would often disappear for days or weeks at a time. Then one day, he left and never returned. For years as a child, I was the victim of sexual abuse at the hands of an extended family member. As a teenager, I became an alcoholic to escape the pain. Abuse, abandonment, and addiction defined my life. Then in my late teen years, I gave my life to Jesus. His love and healing transformed me. After meeting Jesus, God’s grace not only dealt with my sin, but also began to heal the hurts of my past. This experience with grace forged in me a passion for broken people. Northplace Church’s vision to “invite the uninvited” and pursue “forgotten people in forgotten places” is strategic and intentional, born out of the experience with grace in my personal pain.

The God-First Life - The Blessing of Divine Order

This message (and this entire series for that matter) is a message about order...divine order. It’s more that a reminder to check your priorities. It’s a study of the laws and principles of God. It’s a way to organize and live your life. And here is the promise from Scripture...when you live your life structured around God’s order...blessing flows. When you align your life around God’s ways...life functions as it was meant to. In recent memory no one has addressed this issue any more clearly for me than Stovall Weems in his book that releaed last year called The God First Life...Uncomplicate Your Life God’s Way. Today and over the next couple weeks I’m going to interweave Stovall insights from the book with my own thoughts and ideas and attempt to give you some practical biblical insight on the blessings that flow from walking in God’s order of things.
