There is power in our choice of words. Most of us have never stopped to study the scripture intently to see how much our words impact our lives, probably because we grew up hearing things that minimized words like this: "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me."
But this mantra completely overlooks the emotional, psychological, and spiritual impact of words…and in all reality…what happens to the unseen parts of us, is much slower to heal than what happens to our physical bodies. The words we speak and the words we hear impact the unseen parts of us.
