A valley perspective reminds us of the value of God's Word. We want the value of God's word to be limited to favor and blessing. But what if our perspective of favor and blessing is only in our expectation that favor and blessing equal abundance? The Value of God's Word is not in abundance but in action.
If he said it, we believe it. God said the drought was coming. God said He would provide Elijah water from the brook & ravens. But he did not say how long it would last or how much he would be given.
Elijah was not promised he could ride the entire drought out at the brook.
