I was born in New York City and raised in Puerto Rico, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Sacred Heart University. While pursuing graduate studies at the University of Puerto Rico, I met my wife of 18 years, Nahir and now we have two beautiful children, Claudia Sofía, 13 and Juan Carlos, 12. In 1995, I joined the Freeman Group as the Executive Director for the Caribbean Hospitality Training Institute and two years later became President of the Freeman Group Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
About eleven years ago, I re-encountered God and this changed the course of my life. God started dealing with my heart about things like my desires to ascend the corporate ladder, make more money and have more success, and these things became less fulfilling and unimportant. I recognized a pastoral calling to full-time ministry.
WHAT I DO
I am the Executive Pastor where I oversee the staff and support Pastor Bryan, in the development and overall execution of the vision, values, culture and strategic direction of Northplace Church. As part of executing this vision, I began the Hispanic Ministries at Northplace six years ago. As the lead pastor of the Hispanic Ministries, I am over all senior and executive pastoral responsibilities. I’m also a graduate student at AGTS.
