At Northplace Church, serving in small group leadership is one of the most strategic and vital volunteer ministry roles in the Northplace vision. Our Vision statement is our Purpose Statement:
We provide multiple environments for people to experience Christ. The next logical step for their spiritual maturity is connecting them to life giving relationships where they experience what it means to be a part of a spiritual family and grow in the Word. This element of Community happens through our small group ministry. Our group leaders are trained to mobilize their groups for ministry both inside and outside the church. We call this Compassion.
As people experience Christ in deeper ways, they will move into deeper levels of relational community, which in turn prepares them for deeper levels of ministry. This cycle will be repeated for the rest of our lives as we grow in Christ.
Notice, the Community or small group component is the hinge on which the entire vision swings…if it doesn’t work, nothing else works. For this reason, we place a great degree of responsibility on the shoulders of our small group leaders. Please understand, the following questions on our application are not intended to be intrusive or needlessly time consuming. They simply reflect the weight of responsibility and importance we place on this area of ministry.
Thank you for considering leadership in Northplace small groups!
