Bryan Jarrett | SENIOR PASTOR   

Not too long ago, my "bio" was replete with all the information that would make me appear as a "success." It listed the places I have preached, the "names" I have shared the platform with, the size of the crowds coming to my events, the boards I served on, and the degrees I have received.  However, I am in a season of my life where God is redefining success for me, those things have little bearing on real success. When I die, I simply want to be known as a man that walked with God.  Why not be known that way while I live?  I want to expend my energy for the Kingdom, go to bed tired, wake up refreshed and do it all again the next day.  Walking with God, regardless of where it takes me, is my new success.

John Cruz | EXECUTIVE PASTOR   

A native of Puerto Rico, Pastor John is the oldest of three children.  He grew up in a Christian home and at a very young age established his own business, pursued a graduate degree in Organizational Psychology and traveled throughout the world.  However, his love for God and people has brought him from the corporate world to full time ministry.  Several years ago, John had an encounter with God that changed the course of his life. Today he feels that his calling is more real than ever.  As he explains, "Today my life has a purpose that is beyond me.  I stopped searching for a purpose within me.  I serve my Creator.  Everyday I want God to always smile when He sees my actions and my thoughts."  Pastor John has a strong passion for seeing the Hispanics in the Dallas area reached for Jesus and for supporting all of our ministries though sound planning, managing, and executing. He is married to Nahir who is an integral part of the ministry.  She is also an industrial organizational psychologist and received her credentials as a minister with the Assemblies of God in September of 2005. Together they have two beautiful children, Claudia and Juan Carlos.

Gary Ellison  |  SENIOR ASSOCIATE PASTOR   

While growing up in Houston, in an unchurched environment, Gary never dreamed of someday working in full time ministry. In fact, he planned on attending the University of Oklahoma on a full athletic  scholarship to play baseball, but one experience with God redirected him to pursue ministry at South western Assemblies of God University, majoring in Pastoral ministry and serving in youth ministry for almost ten years. Many of the experiences of Pastor Gary’s personal life have led his ministry to a focus on pastoral care and family life. With his wonderful wife, Christy, and their young daughter, Breah, they not only teach family principles, but they are the priority of their life.

Bear Boyle | WORSHIP PASTOR  

Raised in a minister’s home, his love for music came very young and his gift of music came very quickly. At 22, Bear signed a recording contract and began his career in music. It was two years later that God began to deal with Bear about worship and a change in heart, mind, direction and life. Bear has been a worship leader for the last eleven years and has never looked back. His drive for worship relevancy is stronger than ever and his pursuit of the Spirit has become a lifestyle. Bear loves spending time with his wife Jill and his daughter Madeline. They are enjoying the ride of life that God has set in place for them and are continuing to preach worship as a lifestyle rather than a formality.

Gabe Smith  |  ASSOCIATE MUSIC PASTOR    

Gabe was raised in a Pastor’s home and was saved under his father’s ministry at the age of five. He graduated from Central Bible College with a degree in Music. His senior year he felt led to give Pastor Bryan, and Northplace Church, a year of his life volunteering in the music department. In August 2007, he was offered the position of Associate Music Pastor and serves faithfully under Pastor Bear Boyle.

Mike Dsane | YOUNG ADULT PASTOR   

Mike’s experiences with God started as child being raised in Christian home. During his late high school years and experiences through Chi Alpha Student Ministries at the University of Oklahoma, Mike’s relationship with God transitioned from his parents’ to his own. In the fall of 2007, Mike joined the staff of Northplace Church as Young Adults Pastor.

Kirby Alfaro | ASSOCIATE YOUTH PASTOR    

Kirby discovered a call to ministry as a teenager. Since then, he has invested into that call by attending Southeastern University for a pastoral degree and a masters in leadership. He worked along side Rusty Railey for four years in Florida prior to joining the staff at Northplace Church. His heart for students and his desire for them to fall in love with Jesus is what drives his creativity and passion in The Venue Live.

Kirby joined the Northplace team as the Associate Student Ministries Pastor in the fall of 2008. He has also recently authored a book titled, Black Coffee: Candidly Rediscovering Friendship with God.

Jon-Michael Martin  |  CHILDREN'S PASTOR 

Tiffany Martin  |  CHILDREN'S PASTOR   

Jon-Michael was born and raised in Lexington, KY. He grew up in a minister's home and gave his heart to the Lord at a young age. He felt the call to full-time ministry when he was eight. Tiffany grew up in Mustang, Oklahoma. She was the first in her family to dedicate her heart to the Lord. They met at Central Bible College and were married in 2007. Jon-Michael is currently pursuing his degree and Tiffany has her degree in Urban Ministries. They were hired on at Northplace Church August of 2008 and live in Sachse. Their heart's desire is to see the next generation encounter God and share Him with the world.
